ASSESSMENT/ORIENTATION

Individual and personal student evaluation designed to identify skills, traits, and attributes essential for determining which law enforcment agency best suits the student. Students will receive a detailed overview of law enforcment agencies, including sheriffs department, city police departments, corrections, probation, and parole.

ARREST & CONTROL TECHNIQUES


BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION & HIRING PROCESS

Assistance in the comprehensive compilation of personal history and biological information, including indentifying issues that need resolution. Students will learn how to address marginal and/or negative data. Students will receive a thorough analysis of employment, police, financial, military education, and family records.  Students will benefit from a step by step process on how to earn employment.  Valuable insider tips and advice will assist students in understanding what is necessary to impress the hiring officials.

WRITING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT

Extensive step –by- step process designed to teach grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure crucial for both initial hiring process and promotional advancment. Course teaches procedure on how to prepare incident, operations, investigations, and supplmentary reports.  Course provides practice questions and problems to test knowledge and preparation for entry –level exams. Course provides essential referance guide that covers commonly misused and mispelled words, and grammar errors in law enforcement. This course is critical to develop effective report writing skills.
